Media Release: Citizens’ Climate Lobby Compiles Talking Points Booklet For Election 44

Sudbury, ON: Since September 2010, Citizens’ Climate Lobby Canada has been sending out action sheets to their volunteers every single month. Contained within those monthly actions every month for the past eleven years have been one or two talking points assignments called “LASER Talks”.

For this snap election, Citizens’ Climate Lobby has compiled the best LASER Talks then edited and updated them as well as adding new talking points, and put them into a booklet.

“The climate crisis is a top election issue, and it should be. We are in code red for humanity,” says Cathy Orlando, national director of Citizens’ Climate Lobby Canada. “We need policy persistence. Furthermore, we need to use evidence. Later will be too late. We hope this booklet helps inform discussions this last weekend before the election day, Monday, September 20, 2021.”

Citizens’ Climate Lobby encourages everyone to use the information in this booklet to write letters to the editor or social media posts and offer this booklet to those that might value its information.
