Developing Principles for a Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty with North Americans

Satat Sampada, a partner of the Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty (Treaty) initiative is working to develop the Treaty principles through a very innovative and inclusive consultation process that solicits contributions from all constituencies and geographical regions working with the initiative.

These fundamental principles are intended to underpin the development of the Treaty, grounded in both legal theory and intersectional principles of equity and justice. You can read more about the consultation process here.

It’s been really exciting to see momentum for the Treaty building in North America thanks to Climate Action Network and CCL member initiatives. We look forward to seeing many of you on April 6th!
