Date: Sunday, February 1, 2026 At Citizens’ Climate Lobby Canada, we have consistently and factually stated that the transformation of the economy will not be linear. We are now living through this transformation, and it is proving to be disruptive and chaotic. Given the midterm elections in the United States in November, separatist movements emerging in two Canadian provinces, ongoing threats to the NATO alliance, and the possibility of a federal election at any time due to Canada’s minority government, we are outlining plans only for the first six months of 2026. We are also making rest a priority for everyone, because we are better constituent climate advocates when we are well rested. This year’s discussions focused on lessons learned in 2025—through lobbying, research, grasstops, and grassroots action—and on how best to leverage evidence-based strategies to build political will. We are in unprecedented times. With just 0.5 paid staff, and with volunteer leaders contributing an average of 10 hours per month, we must use our time wisely. As we have done in the past, we intend to prevail by leaning into our core values of relationships, integrity, optimism, focus, personal power, non-partisanship, and diversity. For a glimpse into our past planning sessions, check out: Please bookmark this page as there will be updates as we closer to the planning session including our year-end report and other resources. Ultimately, we will post the video of our session too. Who is this call for? It is chiefly for our group leaders and highly engaged volunteers who want to know how best to keep Marshall Saunders’ dream alive.Standing Our Ground V: The Tranformation of the Economy Will Not Be Linear
